Seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Social Media Organizer to join our team and play a pivotal role in the heart of a grassroots movement dedicated to transforming America’s voting system, one impactful campaign at a time.

Rank the Vote is a non-partisan 501c3 organization dedicated to empowering activists in building and expanding grassroots movements for electoral reform within their communities. With over 30 partner organizations, we support campaigns advocating for ranked choice voting, proportional representation, open primaries, and fair districts at both local and state levels.

This part-time contract position is for 5 to 10 hours per week, starting with a 3 month hiring role, with the potential for extension beyond this period.

Responsibilities:

Design engaging graphics and memes tailored for various social media platforms.
Write compelling and creative copy for posts and captions.
Monitor social media channels for trends, audience engagement, and feedback.
Ensure all graphics and written content align with our voice, style, and guidelines.
Interact with followers and respond to comments and messages in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

Passion, drive, vision, and attention to detail.
Proficiency in graphic design (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, Canva).
Strong social media and writing skills with a knack for creating engaging and relatable content.
Familiarity with social media platforms and their respective best practices.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Commitment to improving America through electoral reform.
Adherence to an ethos of non-partisan public relations and messaging, including engagement with individuals from a broad spectrum of political views, and ability to show restraint on expressing personal partisan opinions.
