Skills
I’ve built my career around leadership, elections work, and technology, and I’m comfortable operating at the intersection of all three. I’ve led teams, managed statewide programs, and helped move complex projects forward by bringing the right people together and keeping things focused on outcomes. A big part of my work has been in election administration and security supporting infrastructure, thinking through risks, and helping respond to challenges like misinformation and attempts to disrupt the process.
I also bring a strong background in cybersecurity and systems work. I’ve trained election officials on cyber hygiene and incident response, conducted security assessments using national standards, and worked on improving systems so they’re more secure and efficient. On the policy side, I regularly engage with partners, legislators, and coalitions to move shared priorities forward and make sure the work is grounded in what’s actually happening on the ground.
Over the years, I’ve managed large budgets, overseen grant programs, and led initiatives from planning through execution. I’m comfortable working with data, but just as importantly, I know how to translate that into clear, practical information for different audiences. Whether I’m speaking with partners, the media, or community members, I focus on being clear, direct, and solutions-oriented.
About
I am a Michigan-based nonprofit leader and election security expert with over a decade of experience in state government, public policy, and civic engagement. I currently serve as Michigan State Director for All Voting is Local, where I lead statewide strategies to expand ballot access, protect election certification, and combat misinformation.
I bring a unique blend of leadership, cybersecurity, and systems expertise to my work. I previously served as Michigan’s first Election Security Specialist at the Michigan Department of State, where I built and implemented a comprehensive election security program across all 83 counties and managed more than $20 million in federal funding to strengthen election infrastructure.
I’m known for my ability to bridge policy, technology, and community engagement. I have trained election officials statewide, partnered with federal and state agencies including DHS and the FBI, and led coalitions focused on protecting democracy and ensuring equitable access to the ballot.
My leadership is grounded in a commitment to integrity, equity, and effective governance, with a focus on delivering practical solutions that strengthen public trust in democratic systems.
