Seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Tik Tok Creator to join our team and play a role in the heart of a grassroots movement dedicated to transforming America’s voting system, one impactful campaign at a time.

Rank the Vote is a non-partisan 501c3 organization dedicated to empowering activists in building and expanding grassroots movements for electoral reform within their communities. With over 30 partner organizations, we support campaigns advocating for ranked choice voting, proportional representation, open primaries, and fair districts at both local and state levels.

This part-time position is for 5 to 10 hours per week, running from June through August, with the potential for extension beyond this period.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop creative and engaging video concepts tailored for TikTok’s unique format and audience.
  • Stay updated on TikTok trends, challenges, and popular content styles to inspire new ideas.
  • Shoot and edit high-quality videos that align with brand messaging and resonate with the target audience.
  • Utilize TikTok’s features (e.g., effects, filters, music) to enhance video appeal and engagement.
  • Ensure that content is entertaining, informative, and aligns with current trends.
  • Edit videos using software or apps to create polished final products, incorporating transitions, sound effects, and music.
  • Optimize video length and format for TikTok to maximize viewer retention and engagement.
  • Monitor comments and interactions on TikTok videos, responding to followers and fostering community engagement.

Qualifications:

  • Passion, drive, vision, and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in graphic design (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, Canva).
  • Strong social media and writing skills with a knack for creating engaging and relatable content.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and their respective best practices.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Commitment to improving America through electoral reform.
  • Adherence to an ethos of non-partisan public relations and messaging, including engagement with individuals from a broad spectrum of political views, and ability to show restraint on expressing personal partisan opinions.
