The Bridging Field is comprised of organizations and individuals that work to reduce toxic polarization in the United States. The Goals and Measures program for the Bridging Field seeks to establish and refine the common goals, measures, and data to measure our field's impact. The Goals and Measures team is searching for two independent contractors: a Research Fellow and a Program Coordinator. These services may be filled by one contractor (project time commitment: approximately 40 hours per week for three months) or by two candidates (projected time commitment 20 hours per week over three months). You will play a critical role in reducing division in the United States and enhancing the ability of the Bridging Field to measure and refine its work.

  • The Research Fellow will summarize and distill existing research for multiple audiences, help liaise with academics and researchers, assist with implementation of existing research tools and support development of additional measurement tools that can be used by the field and develop materials. This position will also support the improvement and implementation of the Goals and Measures Program’s existing pre and post survey tool, the Social Cohesion Impact Measure or SCIM, which is an open source measurement tool for bridging organizations.
  • The Project Coordinator will work closely with the Research Fellow to support ongoing work in our two pilot locations: Tallahassee, Florida and Lexington, Kentucky and with national partners. This role will also help create an online Resource Hub for the Bridging Field.

Please note that candidates may apply for both of these positions or choose to apply for these positions separately. Detailed job descriptions are included below.
