Compensation: $12,000-15,000, commensurate with experience, paid in three monthly installments
Location: Remote (Florida-based candidates preferred; travel to Tallahassee required January 22–24)
Project Overview
As part of our 2026 Florida Engagement Plan, Interfaith Alliance is mobilizing a diverse network of statewide partners, clergy, and faith leaders to confront the growing wave of attacks on civil rights, reproductive freedom, and public education in Florida. The campaign will culminate in a Florida Moral Movement Mobilization in Tallahassee on January 21, bringing together faith and community leaders from across the state to publicly call out legislative attacks on democracy and human dignity. The mobilization will be followed by coordinated faith advocacy days (January 21–22) where participants will meet with lawmakers to advance shared priorities.
Role Summary
The Florida Faith Mobilization Coordinator will facilitate logistics, outreach, and partner coordination for the January 21 Moral Movement Mobilization and the accompanying advocacy efforts at the Capitol. Working closely with the Campaigns Director of the Interfaith Alliance Foundation (National) and the leadership of Interfaith Alliance of Florida, this position will ensure statewide faith networks are aligned, visible, and mobilized for moral action.
This role will report to the Campaigns Director.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide program management for the Florida Moral Movement Mobilization in Tallahassee (January 21) and Advocacy Days (January 21–22) to execute the vision of Interfaith Alliance of Florida and Interfaith Alliance National.
- Coordinate all event logistics, including managing the necessary permits, transportation, registration, and communications.
- Coordinate meetings with offices, compiling one-pagers from partners, and organizing advocacy groups.
- Convene planning calls and meetings with statewide partners, in partnership with the Campaigns Director.
- Conduct outreach to clergy and faith leaders to recruit participants.
- Support on-the-ground execution and media visibility, in partnership with West End Strategies Team (WEST).
- Collect feedback and prepare a post-event debrief memo in the final week of January.
- Arrange individual travel, receive pre-approval for expenditures, and submit for reimbursements.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in organizing, advocacy, or faith-based coalition work.
- Strong program management skills and relationship-building skills.
- Deep familiarity with Florida’s political and faith landscape.
- Commitment to pluralism, justice, and nonviolent moral action.
- Preferred: Existing relationships with statewide partners (Equality Florida, ACLU-FL, Florida NAACP, etc.).
- Preferred: Experience organizing legislative or issue-based faith advocacy events.
Salary & Benefits:
Salary range is $12,000-15,000 paid in three monthly installments, commensurate with experience.
