Spring Interfaith Alliance Internship Program
Throughout the year, Interfaith Alliance hosts an internship program to offer the chance to explore the intersection of religion and policy and make a meaningful contribution to the pro-democracy movement in the United States. Interns are assigned a specific role (e.g. organizing, policy, communications, development) but also support cross-functional projects for the organization. Interns will have weekly learning opportunities as a cohort.
For spring 2026, we have three positions available - Organizing, Policy, and Digital Fundraising & Mobilization. Applications are due by Friday, November 14. The internship program starts January 26 and ends on May 15.
Interfaith Alliance internships are part-time and paid at a rate of $18/hour for undergraduate students and $25/hour for graduate-level students. Application to the Internship Program is competitive, and an on-going interest in religion and public policy is strongly recommended. The internship program is based in Interfaith Alliance’s Washington, D.C. headquarters and requires working in-person 2-3 days a week (contingent on schedule). Fully remote internships will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Applicants must have strong interpersonal, writing, and computer skills; the ability to manage multiple tasks and take initiative; and strong organizational skills.
Applicants for the Organizing Intern position should have previous organizing experience. Familiarity with EveryAction is recommended but not required.
To apply, send a cover letter, resume, and writing sample to internships@interfaithalliance.org. Please include the position title you are applying for in the subject line (e.g., “Policy Intern Application”). If you wish to be considered for all available positions, write “General Application” in the subject line.
Interfaith Alliance is committed to an equitable selection process. In order to maintain equal opportunity for all candidates, individual staff will not answer questions about internship postings. Please direct all questions to internships@interfaithalliance.org.
