Good Party is an organization focused on building tools to reshape American politics to focus on people over money. Through our innovative tools and growing movement of people from across the ideological spectrum, we’re disrupting America's two-party political dysfunction to establish a truly representative democracy. Our AI Campaign Manager is empowering people-powered candidates to viably run for office outside of the two parties, so they can serve their constituents instead of special interests. We’re leveraging organic social media and growth marketing techniques to spread awareness about Good Party in places ripe for disruption and around the country. Project Overview
Good Party is seeking an experienced, United States based graphic designer or graphic design firm/agency to assist us in creating various digital marketing and social media assets, product and website assets, as well as collateral assets for our field and mobilization teams. The selected designer will collaborate closely with our Product Design team and work with the creative direction of Matthew Schuler, Head of Design at Good Party. The day to day stakeholders who will be requesting projects will be our Marketing Manager, Social Media Manager, Discord Community Manager, and a few others on the team.
Scope of Work
- Marketing Assets:
- Create captivating and impactful creative designs for advertisements across different web and social media platforms.
- Create many variations of creative for A/B testing and targeted customization (based on location, audience, etc.)
- Design visually appealing social media templates that align with our brand guidelines.
- Develop engaging and informative infographics to convey complex information in a visually appealing manner.
- Create animated assets such as banners. Knowledge of After Effects and other video software preferredFor certain projects, create templates that the team can self-serve edit or create variations of in Canva
- Product and Website Assets:
- Design eye-catching banners for our product and website landing pages that effectively communicate key messages and enhance user experience.
- Design landing page templates in HubSpot’s landing page builder
- Design CTA imagery for our blogDesign assets and imagery for landing pages
- Collateral Assets for Field and Mobilization Teams:
- Design visually compelling placards and posters for events, rallies, and other mobilization activities.
- Develop creative designs for merchandise such as stickers that resonate with our mission and can be distributed by our field teams.
Requirements
- Proven experience in graphic design, with a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in creating marketing assets, product and website assets, and collateral materials
- Proficiency in industry-standard design software and tools, including Figma and Canva
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Understanding of branding principles and ability to maintain consistency with Good Party's visual identity
- Excellent attention to detail, creativity, and ability to deliver high-quality designs within specified timelines
- Based in the United States since this partnership will require timely revisions and communication within similar time zones
- Visual design guidance for video editing
- Experience designing with landing page builder like Instapage, HubSpot, etc.
Nice to have:
Availability Requirements
- 10-20 hours per week on average of graphic design work needed. During slower times (post-elections in November and December) the requests may go below 10 hours per week.
- Ability to turn around high priority projects and requests same day
- Redundancy available - you’ve got at least one other qualified person who can handle requests as well if you’re unavailable
In your proposal, please include the following:
- Mission Alignment: We’re looking for a designer or agency to partner with who is excited by Good Party’s mission and work. Please share what’s motivating you to submit this proposal to work with us.
- Portfolio: A portfolio showcasing relevant graphic design work or link to your portfolio with instructions of which projects are the most relevant for us to review.
- Experience: Details of your relevant experience in creating the required materials such as marketing assets, product and website assets, and collateral materials.
- Approach: An overview of your creative process and how you collaborate with your clients. Tell us about your approach to working with clients and what differentiates you.
- Cost: A breakdown of your fee structure (including any additional charges for revisions or additional design work). We hope you’ll consider that Good Party is unique – we're a certified Public Benefit Corporation that's non-revenue, and therefore non-profit. Our public benefit is to empower eligible voters and non-voters who are not represented by the two major U.S. political parties. We're structured as an LLC given how we support candidates running for office, but what we offer is free to campaigns and to users/voters. We sincerely appreciate the best possible rate given we're not a corporate client and any reductions allow our funding to go further so we can do more good work toward our mission. Thank you!
Selection Process
The selection will be based on the quality of the portfolio, relevant experience, mission alignment, proposed approach, and cost considerations. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted to meet so we can discuss your proposal, answer your questions, and see if there’s a fit to work together.
