Job Description

The Development Intern will support Campaign Legal Center’s (CLC) development team in the first months of 2025, a critical time for advancing and protecting our nation's democracy. This internship will provide an exciting opportunity to learn about fundraising for a nonpartisan nonprofit following an extremely charged election season and as we launch into a new multi-year strategic plan. Throughout the internship, the intern will conduct research on prospective donors, provide event support, draft materials and assist the team with administrative and data-entry tasks. They will engage with all members of the development team to learn about general fundraising principles and practices of a high-impact, effective development program. This position will report to the Development Associate and will also work closely with the Data and Analytics Manager.

Given CLC's range of expertise in litigation and policy work, as well as marketing and communications, there are a range of opportunities for professional development across departments. Depending on the intern's interests, there is also opportunity to collaborate with the Data and Analytics Manager on data visualization and analytics projects.

This paid internship will be part-time (15-20 hours/week) for three to four months over the spring 2025 semester, with the opportunity to extend the internship to the summer (20-25 hours/week). It is preferred that the intern work in person in CLC's downtown DC office 1-2 days per week (Tuesday/Friday preferred), but we are happy to offer flexible scheduling in alignment with the intern's class schedule.

Please apply with your resume and a cover letter.
