Employee Engagement Senior Specialist

Position Summary
CLC is seeking a Senior Employee Engagement Specialist to develop strategies to support organizational DEI initiatives and improve employee satisfaction, morale, and performance. This role will be responsible for observing and analyzing engagement challenges and designing programs that help increase job satisfaction, retain talent, and foster a positive, equitable, and diverse work environment. They will need to build relationships with employees through communication and feedback mechanisms, organize workshops and training, and create campaigns to promote awareness of CLC’s mission, vision, and values.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Work closely with CLC’s DEI Employee Engagement committee to ensure they are supported administratively and have the resources necessary to succeed in their work.
- Manage projects and recommendations from the DEI Employee Engagement subcommittees to ensure they meet deadlines.
- Develop diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies to meet CLC’s DEI goals.
- Help establish and maintain an open-door policy for employees and the DEI Employee Engagement committee to communicate with management.
- Conduct surveys and gather feedback to understand employee satisfaction levels.
- Help oversee and design initiatives to recognize and reward employees for exceptional work and contributions.
- Collaborate with other departments to create initiatives and programs that promote employee engagement.
- Facilitate team-building activities and events.
- Help provide training and coaching to managers on how to improve employee satisfaction levels.
- Monitor and report on engagement metrics and make recommendations for improvement.
- Analyze trends and make adjustments to engagement strategies as necessary.
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of experience
- In-depth knowledge of DEI principles, best practices, and emerging trends in diversity and inclusion
- Experience implementing successful DEI strategies and programs
- Experience managing projects and implementing organizational solutions
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task, set priorities, meet deadlines, and unafraid to take on difficult tasks
- Collaborative working style
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion working with highly confidential information
- Ability to use human resource information software
- Fully proficient in all Microsoft products including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel
