BPC Action is currently seeking a Manager to support and manage technology advocacy at a dynamic and influential organization promoting bipartisan solutions to our nation's challenges. The ideal candidate will have experience in technology and AI policy, a strong understanding of the legislative process, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive advocacy initiatives forward on technology and artificial intelligence on Capitol Hill – including setting up a strategic plan and establishing annual goals and deliverables.
- Closely collaborate with BPCA leadership and team to set advocacy goals and manage projects action items
- Participate in congressional outreach and represent BPC Action on behalf of BPC’s technology policy project at Capitol Hill briefings and regular meetings with congressional members and staff
- Monitor the tracking and analysis of federal legislative developments in technology policy
- Work with BPCA leadership to conceptualize, develop, and produce written products, public events, and other activities to advance advocacy goals in assigned advocacy areas
- Provide political guidance and strategic advice to policy and communications staff on written materials and public events to optimize legislative opportunities
- Help advise and craft funding proposals and support donor relationships
- Forge productive working relationships with peer organizations and generate opportunities for collaboration
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong understanding of the federal legislative process
- Strong organizational skills; ability to manage large projects and multi-task
- Strong political skills and ability to work diplomatically with a wide spectrum of viewpoints
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Capable of working independently and in a team environment
- Bachelor’s Degree
- At least 3 years of experience working on Capitol Hill
