The Bipartisan Policy Center (BPC) is a Washington, DC-based think tank that helps policymakers work across the aisle to craft bipartisan solutions. By connecting lawmakers, delivering data and context, negotiating policy details, and creating space for bipartisan collaboration, BPC ensures democracy can function on behalf of all Americans. BPC Action is currently seeking a Manager to support and manage technology advocacy at a dynamic and influential organization promoting bipartisan solutions to our nation's challenges. The ideal candidate will have experience in technology and AI policy, a strong understanding of the legislative process, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Drive advocacy initiatives forward on technology and artificial intelligence on Capitol Hill – including setting up a strategic plan and establishing annual goals and deliverables.

- Closely collaborate with BPCA leadership and team to set advocacy goals and manage projects action items

- Participate in congressional outreach and represent BPC Action on behalf of BPC’s technology policy project at Capitol Hill briefings and regular meetings with congressional members and staff

- Monitor the tracking and analysis of federal legislative developments in technology policy

- Work with BPCA leadership to conceptualize, develop, and produce written products, public events, and other activities to advance advocacy goals in assigned advocacy areas

- Provide political guidance and strategic advice to policy and communications staff on written materials and public events to optimize legislative opportunities

- Help advise and craft funding proposals and support donor relationships

- Forge productive working relationships with peer organizations and generate opportunities for collaboration

QUALIFICATIONS

- Strong understanding of the federal legislative process

- Strong organizational skills; ability to manage large projects and multi-task

- Strong political skills and ability to work diplomatically with a wide spectrum of viewpoints

- Strong written and oral communication skills

- Capable of working independently and in a team environment

- Bachelor’s Degree

- At least 3 years of experience working on Capitol Hill
