The Bipartisan Policy Center (BPC) is a Washington, DC-based think tank that helps policymakers work across the aisle to craft bipartisan solutions. By connecting lawmakers, delivering data and context, negotiating policy details, and creating space for bipartisan collaboration, BPC ensures democracy can function on behalf of all Americans. BPC has an immediate opening for a full-time Executive Assistant. The Executive Assistant works at the highest levels of the organization, interfacing regularly with Senior Management. Exceptional organizational and administrative skills are expected. The position requires the ability to exercise discretion, good judgment, and significant initiative.
RESPONSIBLITIES
- Effectively manage the day-to-day workflow for the Executive Vice President and COO, Senior Vice Presidents and Development team
- Maintain calendars; schedule appointments; arrange internal and external meetings
- Field and prioritizes phone calls, emails, mail and meeting requests;
- Manage a detailed running to-do list while monitoring the timely completion of all tasks;
- Monitor and track various projects and tasks to ensure timely completion; ensure follow up on action items;
- Coordinate travel itineraries and arrangements for domestic trips;
- Coordinate the flow of information within and outside of the organization;
- Maintain and update contacts and organizations in CRM database;
- Provide support to various activities such as BPC sponsored events and meetings;
- Participate in special projects, research assignments and other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Candidates must have at least 3 years of experience assisting a senior level executive or work in a Congressional office
- Demonstrated communication, interpersonal, organizational, prioritization and administrative skills are necessary
- Ability to handle complex problems with minimal supervision
- Track record of demonstrating sound judgment by making appropriate decisions
- Must demonstrate discretion, initiative, and follow-through, as well as being detail-oriented and level-headed
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required

Work Schedule
The work/life balance of employees is a priority for the Bipartisan Policy Center. As a result, BPC is currently operating on a hybrid schedule. Employees at BPC are currently coming into the office three times a week. The exact time and schedule will be determined between an employee and their manager.
